Horizon Building Services was appointed to deliver the full mechanical and electrical package for Endeavour Court, a major student accommodation refurbishment comprising 280 rooms.

This fast-track scheme was delivered within a challenging 16-week programme. Our works included the installation of new LED lighting throughout, upgrades to the electrical and mechanical first fix to suit revised kitchen and bedroom layouts, and the removal and reinstallation of all toilets to allow new bathroom flooring. We also installed 42 new boilers, carried out full power flushing of 42 heating systems, and delivered a complete new M&E first and second fix to 11 apartments created from redundant office space within the building.

Additional works included relocating the laundry facilities to the central hub, where we also created a new coffee station to enhance resident amenities. Life safety systems were upgraded across the site, with the fire alarm brought in line with current regulations and a new gas detection system installed.

Despite the complexity and demanding timescale, Horizon Building Services delivered the project on time and to the highest standard, providing modern, efficient, and safe accommodation tailored to the needs of today’s students.
